Is it because it is in New York?
And possibly because it's seen as a mis-match.
I didn’t have the bottle to predict a Fielding win in the predictions league, but I’ve a sneaky feeling this could be closer than most people think.
Fielding isn’t great, but he did manage to win the World title and he has a lot of physical advantages over Canelo.
Will Canelo be able to bully genuine SMW’s? Canelo probably will win, but you never know.
If it was Callum Smith, he would annihilate Canelo & GGG.

I did predict Fielding to win in Germany but he needs a knock out to get a draw against Canelo.

Not taking anything away from Fielding, he won a world title (more than I achieved in boxing) but Zeuge was always far from world class in my opinion.

I see this ending within 6. Possibly earlier.

I also think Canelo and GGG beat Callum at this stage.

Don’t agree. There are weight divisions for a reason. Smith would dwarf Canelo & GGG, He’s solid , decent boxing skills and power.
But hey, who knows? One day we might found out.

No notable fighter has blown up more between the weigh ins and fight night than Canelo in recent years. He outweighs a lot of super middles in the ring, so I don’t see what these physical advantages Fielding has are. Obviously he’s a fair bit taller, but he doesn’t use it to much effect from what I’ve seen of him. He’s just not that good, there’s a reason he was picked as canelos first fight at the weight. It’s an easy “world title” victory where the worst case scenario for him is it’s not a complete cakewalK. Fielding doesn’t even sound confident in his comments, it’s all “IF I could pull this off” kinda stuff. He’d have taken the fight even knowing for certain he’d get wrecked, as it’s more money than he’d ever stand to make otherwise.

Fielding is a lot taller, Ive never seen him fight, I also don't recognise this as an actual world title but wotever it's something :S... It'll be interesting to see how well alvarez does v someone much taller, alvarez isn't so great at trapping people and likes to counter, I would think that's going to be a bit. More difficult v someone with a larger reach... But taller gits tend to leave their body a bit less protected so alvarez can have fun there :S

I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully alvarez gets a nice ko win.

F-ckn Lemieux, was sent to hospital because he was too dehydrated trying to make weight. His fight is off.

Follow this link and select the buy from this map to zoom in on the available seats. Looks like it’s sold well so far.

Why is Lemieux still trying to go 160 when he has obviously been having so much trouble lately? Probably because his power is what carried him to where he is and without it, he would be nothing. He probably is trying to avoid going up in weight at all costs because that will be the end of his career

Fielding got destroyed in 1 round by Smith which is why Canelo has taken the fight because he sees it as an easy win.

Canelo would never take an easy fight. Ask any Mexican. They will tell you

Short of killing 5 hookers like Craig James there is nothing Lemieux can do to turn off French Canadians. He can fight bums and they will show up. He’s French Canadian Canelo.(without the skill)

I chuckled at how clearly you answer your own question here Ron may be right about the French Canadians, but that’s a small market unless the fight happens in Quebec. he’s still with golden boy and they probably figured if he gets another big KO or two he can be used as fodder or a bargaining chip against another good name. It’s not just that he’d be so mediocre at smw, but there is nobody to even cash him in against there.

I think it will sell. People like Alvarez. He’s been groomed to be a super star from the start. I’ll tell you, I really hope this English chap beats the pulp out of Canelo, that would be beautiful
