That's more like it, Walrus. This thread has great potential.

Having ended his contract with the Mutual Film Corporation amicably, Charlie Chaplin signed the world’s first One Million Dollar movie contract in June 1918. This contract gave him total control over production for a return of eight films. Chaplin decided to build a new studio off Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The famous Chaplin Studios were designed in the style of English country cottages and contained everything Chaplin would need to develop, film and cut his movies. Chaplin eventually sold the studios in 1953 and they are now owned by Jim Henson Company.

Look at that shit. 1918 Chaplin signed a million dollar contract. As a cockney kid he was performing under the bow-bells with no shoes and holes in his pants. I read his autobiography I think it was called “My life”. It’s embarrassing to me as an American what the US did to him later in life. IMHO he was one of the worlds greatest entertainers. Yes, I agree with all of you and it is unfortunate England has become cuck island. But before we official label England as a shit hole remember they gave us the Beatles and Charlie Chaplin along with a number of great actors.
