    Default Berchelt vs Vargas

The rematch is tonight. It’s a weird rematch because I thought that Berchelt completely destroyed Vargas the first time around to the point to where a rematch doesn’t seem warranted. With that said, it was right after a war with Salido so maybe he wasn’t in his best state at the time. I would love Vargas to be able to make a fight out of it this time.

Good catch bud and have to agree. Vargas has just 6 rounds in over a year but still maintains the #1 spot for rematch that doesn't really need to be based on first. Meanwhile Berchelt has come some ways and looks improved. Who knows. Forget the problem prone Davis at 130, Berchelt has been slept on a bit.

Navarrete and Dogboe in a rematch also. Now that's one that might be interesting. Dogboe came in like he was blinded by his new stardom and Navarrete really tore into him, great little upset.

Did anybody watch this? Basically two rematches that had clear winners in the first fight and nothing changed in the second fight.

Dogboe says he’s moving up to featherweight. I don’t see it going well for him there because that’s a stacked weight class and he is so short. He got absolutely destroyed by Navarrete. It wasn’t close whatsoever and his dad finally stopped the fight with a minute left of the fight. It should have been stopped much sooner.

Berchelt just beat up Vargas every round. Vargas has no defense whatsoever. He is way over the hill. I think that Berchelt is legit but 130 really doesn’t have any star power there. The one big fight for him could be Davis but Davis seems to be content with fighting nobodies these days instead of actual challenges. That’s the fight to be made at 130.

I watched Berchelt beat Roman and think he is a very good exciting fighter. Really would like to see more of him.

Caught the final round of Navarrete ko of Dogboe. These basically just picked up right where the first fights left off. They really over played the whole stereotype 'two Mexicans make for sure war' stuff. Vargas was a spent shell and looked like he was run over repeatedly by a riding mower. Talking about commentary, can someone take Tim Bradley down a peg?

Nav was just too big, busier and relentless for Dogboe who was just too small.

Does not make sense, he is short anyway and this move up will not help unless he will be stronger at the weight and become another Mike Tyson.

Tyson wasn’t that short for a HW though. Dogboe is tiny. He is going to be giving up so much height to all of his opponents at featherweight. Dogboe looked like he was going to be a monster but got completely derailed and I doubt he ever gets back to the top

Tyson was very short he was never just under 6 foot as was claimed.

Read in boxing news magazine that Berchelt only loss was first round knockout. How can that happen to him? He is a beast of a fighter.

I watched the fight on YouTube a while ago. He just got caught and the ref stopped it. It looked a bit premature to me but Berchelt didn’t seem to really argue it so who knows.
