Why wouldn’t he want to unify the belts?? He wanted to fight A.J. He fought Fury and Ortiz. Not really sure what point you are trying to make here.

When Buster beat Tyson he got $30million for Holyfield.

If Ruiz was free to negotiate with any fighter he could get a lot more than what he may have been promised against AJ.

Don't see the point of all this is really? We're led to believe that Wilder is SIGNED UP to fight Ortiz and then Fury in December. (We'll see) and Ruiz and Joshua are scheduled to rematch in November/December. so then after that's all done , the 2 winners fight each other. or is that too sensible?

Buster-Holyfield was a purse bid fight, he was entitled to the majority of the pot as champion (75% of $30 million). He had to pay Don King a massive chunk for not rematching Tyson.

There's not another fighter who can even come close to giving Ruiz a bigger payday than AJ rematch. Come on man, I know you don't like Eddie/AJ/Sky but surely you've noticed the difference in AJ money to everyone else?

Let's hope Ruiz takes them to the cleaners then.

I wish he had the chance to fight once before rematch, he could've taken Wilder on.

No chance that would be allowed by Eddie. Think what would happen if Ruiz lost, the titles would be scattered by boxing politics.

Exactly, which IMO tells how much he actually fears Wilder. The free-swinging Wilder has more respect than we think as it relates to boxers & promoters.

Wilder would know how to stay behind the jab if he has to as he did with Stiverne.

You're right. I guess the Anti-Wilders are rubbing off on me a bit.

I didn't realise you had that kind of capital.

Stiverne let his hands go a mere fraction of what Ruiz would. I honestly think Ruiz v Wilder is a toss up. Ruiz is pretty good at finding-making holes in a poor defense and if a Breazeale backing on his heels with his eyes closed lands clean on Wilder, Ruiz would test that swinging lantern plenty.
