Must've been a blessing to have Merchant & Lewis commentating his fight!

Gassiev was outclassed by Usyk. I still hold faith he'll be a force at heavy

When Herol Graham lost to Sambu Kalambay I thought it was because he did not have Brendon Ingle in his corner.

The bomber then lost to a split point decision to the body snatcher when he was wrongly deducted a point for turning his opponent.

Then he got knocked out by a lucky punch by the hardest puncher in history Julian Jackson.

Then he gets robbed in Italy against Kalambay again even when he knocked him down twice. I stuck with Graham.

Surely he would become champion one day?

I thought it was all over and he was old when he lost to a domestic opponent Frank Grant and the 3 British world champs were avoiding him.

Then Bomber Graham makes an amazing comeback beating an undefeated Canadian and Vinny Paz to take on Brewer. Graham knocks the champ down and was winning on points but gets stopped by a desperate and hopelessly outclassed champion.

Some losses that didn’t deter me:
Duran’s losses vs DeJesus, Leonard, and Hagler. I have to admit that I thought he was done after Hearns annihlated him, but that one also turned out to be insignificant.
    GGG’s “loss” to Canelo.
BHop’s loss vs Roy and Joe C.
Whitaker’s “loss” vs Ramirez and Oscar.

Shit! It's taken me a page and a half...... but I finally got the gist of the thread.

Losses that didn't deter ME! I took it as losses that didn't deter...... oh, never mind.

Ok. Well to begin with, Cotto's loss to Margacheato didn't deter me. I knew Cotto would bounce back from that. He even got some measure of payback, so there's that.

    I'm sure there's more.......

With you on Hopkins and definitely Jones fight was one you knew he would grow from. On the flip side his loss and the way he just assumed everything with Taylor I really ticked me off. Credit to Taylor for sure, but was pretty frustrating watching Hopkins come on late repeatedly rattling Taylor and getting him in trouble but ol Bernard was watching his work way too much for me.

I'll throw in Benn. Hard to live down gassing out and down on a jab but it might have been one of the best things to happen to him. Brought him over to the States to retool and really set him up for some new fan exposure. Wasn't able to see it live but Azumah Nelson early loss to Sanchez saw respect for him only grow more.

Wow, the best example by far. KTFO face first is the worst. Yet he went on.

Duran quit against Leonard which was just as bad. Any normal boxer would never get another big match again but he rightly did because he was a legend.

Winky Wright probably one of the more traveled and consistent American fighters early on. Goes in early career hard nose with buzz saw JC Vasquez getting off the deck 3 legit times for close loss then goes on to prove an underrated great. Bones Adams fighting through until pulled with a broken jaw at 18 yrs old v Orlando Canizales.
