Default Lennox Lewis is the worst commentator

I thought it was going to be a good change having lewis as a commentator but it sounded like a computer or a robot talking, no tention or emotion in his commentating, just a lowpitch voice with some juvenile soundeffects, "ooh, aah". also giving no special insight to the fight, "zihouski has a different style" when lampley asked him how is it different, he said "I don't know, it is just different" amd his punchlines were so cheesy they made me laugh. "Zilhouski has punisher written on his trunks but he got punished".
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya

I agree. He's horrible. Where the heck are Manny Steward, Roy Jones, Max Kellerman, James Brown, or anyone else with a pulse. Sheesh!

Why would anyone think that a fighter with a charisma bypass would be a good commentator?

Lennox is a garbage commentator. He was horrible IMO, I actually missed Steward. The tandem of Lewis and Merchant is the equivalent of drinking an entire bottle of Nyquil.

it is called colour commentary, and lewis wasn't the most colourful fighter, the color and charisma is what distinguishes between a good commentator from a bad one, if not anyone could have been a commentator

Lennox did commentary for Roy jones against John Ruiz too. And got the immortal catchphrase "Jones looked John Ruiz in the eyes and said "I'll be back." "
