What turned out to be a fight in which I thought would be competitive, ended up being a brutal assault by the human buzzsaw Manny Pacquiao. The first four rounds were exciting and dramatic despite Cotto visiting the canvas twice but the human buzzsaw showed not only his balls but his heart as well. Manny Pacquiao came to fight and by the 8th round, he had Miguel Cotto running (some will argue and say he was boxing) I say he was running.

In the early rounds, both fighters were trying to figure each other out and both corners were claiming the other was fighting his opponents fight. Cotto looked good and I thought this would be an easy fight for Miguel after watching the first round. Cotto's size was evident and his jab was pushing Manny back and almost made the fight look unfair but Manny began to use the peek a boo and was soon blocking and absorbing a lot of Cotto's shots with his gloves and elbows and then began to fire shots of his own, which in turn forced Cotto to brawl and Manny's speed prevailed. Manny took some clean shots and would invite Cotto in with the typical Pacquiao fashion, to bring it on. The fight should have been stopped after the 8th round assualt but Cotto...

Floyd The Cowardly Lion by BoxingChaos@gmail.com (Administrator) on Sat, 14 Nov 2009 20:54:02 +0000:

Floyd Mayweather Jr., after the Baldomir bout, (Nov 04, 2006) at the post fight press conference, stated he was retiring after one more fight. The fight he was referring to was against none other than "King Midas" himself, better known as Oscar De La Hoya. Floyd was already being accused of ducking fighters and one fighter in particular was Antonio Margarito. When Floyd made this announcement, everyone in the room was shocked and yet Floyd claims everyone knew about this. The fact is, none of us knew about it and that was evident by the reaction that night by the people who were present in that room. I remember people yelling questions like why? Others were heard in loud voices saying what!? Of course Mayweather Jr., is not the only fighter to retire and make a come back, but how many fighters do we know that retired in their prime and undefeated? As soon as I heard the news, I knew exactly what Floyd was up to. He was going make a lot of Money against ODLH and duck any dangerous fighters waiting for a their shot. He promised Margarito a shot, that shot never came, even though Floyd later began to tell the world that he always answered the call to battle when some one called him out, which of course we all know is a bold face lie and we have the Mosley and Margarito incident with damaging video footage to back that up. Floyd shamelessly began to say he was retired and later saying he was taking a break but that he did not want to fight any welter weights and yet he was campaigning as a welter weight and still is to this very day. He hid behind dancing with the stars and the WWE World Wrestlang' Entertainment to avoid fighters such as Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, and Williams. Floyd did exactly what I predicted he would do, he hid and he waited until...
