Hennessy Sports promoted the very entertaining evening, billed as "Outright", and it was capped off by the main event, a fight long overdue if only to stop the long running verbal onslaught between Froch and Dodson.
Looking to regain the British Title, which he didn't actually lose in the ring and to gain a Commonwealth title as well, Dodson looked obviously fired up as he made his way to the ring amidst cheers from his Liverpool supporters. More...

SaddoBoxing was invited to photograph WBO Heavyweight Champion Sergei Liakhovich as he engaged in some heavy duty sparring in preparation to his much anticipated showdown with knockout artist and former world title challenger Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs on a Don King promotion to be televised by Showtime on November 4 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
As can be seen from the laceration under the eye, Liakhovich is training at full throttle for his upcoming clash with the hammer fisted Briggs, who has knocked out 41 of 47 victims and stopped his last eleven opponents.
Briggs has promised to knock out the WBO Champion as well but Liakhovich is clearly preparing to do the same to his veteran rival in what is turning out to be a must-see bad blood grudge match. More...

It was a relaxed atmosphere at Monton House Hotel, Manchester, England yesterday for the weigh-in of British Light Middleweight Champion Jamie Moore and his opponent Matthew Macklin. This afternoon at “Legends’ in the TD Banknorth Gardens, Boston, was the much awaited “weigh-in for tomorrow nights championship Boxing between Ricky “Hitman’ Hatton and Luis Collazo.
It might be a grey, drizzly day here in Boston - but nothing could dampen the spirits of Ricky Hatton’s supporters! As he walked up to the stand - The Hitman began smiling with obvious delight when the room erupted into cheers and the unmistakable sounds of “Blue Moon’ from the many British Fans who had made the journey over to the States. It certainly was ’The Hitman Invasion’ that Fight Academy had billed the contest as.
Ricky looked relaxed as he stood on the scales and came in at 147 lbs exactly.
Collazo, wasn’t smiling! He too tipped the scales at an even 147 lbs.
