Their war of words has captivated the boxing world, but on Saturday, May 15, the time for talk will be over when two of the brightest stars in the super lightweight division - WBA Super Lightweight World Champion Amir Khan and former world title holder Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi - finally settle their score at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The bout, which will be televised live on HBO's Boxing After Dark in the United States, also marks Khan's United States debut which will be taking place in the back yard of Brooklyn's Malignaggi. More...

#1 WBO rated American heavyweight “Fast Eddie” Chambers and WBO/IBF Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko convened yesterday for a press conference in Dusseldorf, Germany just five days before their scheduled World Championship bout.

Klitschko is consodered to be, along with his brother, WBC Champion Vitali, to be the top heavyweight in the world.

Chambers will be taking part in his first world title fight.

In preparation for his April 24 fight against Chris Arreola, (28-1, 25 KOs ). Tomasz Adamek, (40-1, 27 KO’s), is in Houston, training with Ronnie Shields.

Shields, no stranger to making cruiserweights into heavyweight champions, was a key part of the training staff that guided Evander Holyfield to his heavyweight titles.

Shields had this to say about his first weeks of training Tomasz, “I like Tomasz. I am very impressed with his work ethic. When it comes to training Tomasz is determined to give you his all, 100% of the time.” When asked if he could compare Adamek to Holyfield in any way, Shields said the similarity was not in boxing style, but in the way they both like to work hard. American heavyweight “Fast Eddie” Chambers – rated #1 in the WBO – arrives in Dusseldorf, Germany with his team a week before his scheduled World Championship bout against WBO/IBF Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Barry Hearn has tipped Poland’s Albert Sosnowski to ‘cause a big upset’ and beat WBC Champion Vitali Klitschko in May.

Sosnowski hails from Warsaw but is now based in Brentwood, Essex and is managed by Hearn, who has co-promoted the majority of his fights.

Former heavyweight world champion Tommy "The Duke" Morrison has continued to train in Wichita, Kansas for his upcoming celebrity fundraising fight in Mexico.

Morrison, who retired from boxing in 1996 after reportedly testing positive for HIV, returned to the sport in February, 2007, winning his comeback bout and a follow-up fight a year later by TKO.

The medical diagnosis that caused Morrison to initially retire is now being questioned, given the fighter's reported good health and his allegedly testing negative for the disease on January 10 of this year. More...
