Earlier this week Arena Box Promotion won purse bids for the WBC International heavyweight title fight between Oliver McCall and Juan Carlos Gomez. Arena announce that the fight will land in Berlin October 19, if McCall doesn't relinquish the title, that is.

Gomez beat McCall back in 2005, but then tested positive for cocaine and got suspended. He is now promoted by Arena and back in Hamburg where he started his pro career and became WBC champ at cruiser, despite a well documented wild lifestyle. McCall upset Sinan Samil Sam last time out. More...

According to WBO Heavyweight Champion Sultan Ibragimov, a win over Evander Holyfield in Moscow on October 13th will come in part due to lessons the former Olympian learned from “The Real Deal”.

“Like Holyfield, I know the value of hard work and determination, and I know never to take any opponent lightly,” said Ibragimov from his Florida training camp. “I don’t care how old Holyfield is, I don’t care who he’s beaten or who has beaten him. World ranked Cruiserweight Bobby Gunn 18-3 (15 KO’s) earned his second straight knockout victory by taking out veteran Benito Fernandez 19-15 (6 KO’s) in the second round of their scheduled ten round contest.
