Only two weeks after his comeback-win against Alex Mazikin in Hamburg former cruiserweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez returned to the ring with a one-sided unanimous decision win over German contender Alexander Kahl in front of 1,500 fans at the Neue Arena in Schwerin.

The Black Panther looked good after losing 13 pounds in the last two weeks although he is still far from his old shape. Gomez dominated the fight from the opening to the final bell knocking down his opponent four times with hard body shots and a nice hook to the chin in round 8.

Former world cruiserweight champion and world heavyweight title contender Juan Carlos Gomez is clearly not in the shape of his lifetime these days but slowly on the way back to his old physique.

For tonight's fight against Alexander Kahl in Schwerin, shown live on Eurosport from 9.00pm German time, Gomez weighed in at 110,0 kg / 242.5 lbs.
