Saturday night at the Aston Events Centre in Birmingham, England, Hennessy Sports hosted a fight night billed as ʽBattle of Brumʼ headlined by ʽBrummiesʼ Wayne Elcock and Matthew Macklin as they battle for the British Middleweight Championship.

Wearing glimmering green, Macklin enters the ring alongside trainer Joe Gallagher and nutritionist Kerry Kayes as ʽAinʼt No Stopping Us Nowʼ rings out around the arena.

The Champion follows as Wayne ʽMad Dogʼ Elcock entered the ring to huge support and cheers of ʽElcock, Elcockʼ. More...

Beijing Olympian Tony Jeffries is looking forward to his first professional fight under new trainer Joe Gallagher. The Bronze Medallist has started training at Gallagher's new location, the Denton gym which was previously home to Billy ‘The Preacher’ Graham in suburban Manchester, England.

Jeffries joins British Lightweight Champion John Murray, his younger brother and promising prospect Joe Murray and new stablemate Matthew Macklin, the Irish Middleweight Champion.

Gallagher told SaddoBoxing today that Jeffries is settling in well and looking to make his pro-debut at the end of February/beginning of March. More...
