Vitali Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs), of Los Angeles, participated in an international media conference call to discuss his eagerly anticipated WBC heavyweight title defense against unbeaten, No. 1-ranked Cristobal Arreola (27-0, 24 KOs), of Riverside by way of East L.A., on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Staples Center.

During a jam-packed media workout on Wednesday at the Joe Goossen Gym, undefeated, hard-hitting Cristobal Arreola (27-0, 24 KOs), of Riverside, CA, guaranteed he would defeat defending champion Vitali Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs), of Germany, in their highly anticipated WBC heavyweight title fight on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Staples Center.

The always-exciting Tomasz Adamek will defend his IBF Cruiserweight title against undefeated Johnathon Banks in the main event this Friday, Feb. 27, on ShoBox: The New Generation on Showtime at 11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast.
The aggressive-minded Adamek, 36-1 (24), of Jersey City, NJ, by way of Poland, will be making the first defense of his IBF title against Detroit’s Banks, 20-0 (14), the IBF’s No. 8-ranked contender managed by Hall of Famer Emanuel Steward, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. More...

When Jersey City’s Polish ex-pat Tomasz ‘Goral’ Adamek defends his IBF Cruiserweight title on February 27, 2009, against Detroit’s Johnathon Banks at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey he will have an unexpected supporter cheering him on ringside, former cruiserweight king, Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham.
On December 11, former light heavyweight champion Adamek secured the IBF and Ring Magazine cruiserweight world titles in a close split-decision win over Cunningham, the holder of those titles.
Cunningham, who later this year is to face former WBC title holder, Wayne ‘Big Truck’ Braithwaite, in an IBF title eliminator, explained his reasons for supporting his old foe and gave his thoughts on the upcoming Adamek-Banks battle. “I'm looking forward to watching this, itt should be a good fight," he said.
"Their styles call for action. Johnathon seems like he can crack. He can take them as well as throw them. And Adamek, is tough, he's a good solid, fighter. More...
