Boxing In Canada: Andrews Defeats Henry In Edmonton
By Richard Eberline January 25th, 2009 All Boxing ResultsThere was a good fight card at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton last night, headlined by the vacant WBA Fedecaribe Light Middleweight title between local man Kris Andrews and big punching Christopher Henry of Barbados.
36 year old Henry was definitely the more experienced fighter, having faced, in losing efforts, the likes of Joachim Alcine, Junior Witter, Carlos Quintana, Joel Julio, Joshua Clottey among other name opponents, and as a result, 10 of his 19 losses were by stoppage.
In contrast, the younger Andrews had faced mostly domestic opposition but came into the contest on the strength of a first round KO of former Commonwealth and Canadian Light Middle titlist Tony Badea this past June. More...
