Ovill McKenzie has won the Prizefighter Cruiserweights title after an exciting night of knockdowns and shocks.
Former Commonwealth Champion McKenzie defeated John Keeton on points in a thrilling final in front of a capacity crowd at the Earl’s Court in London to scoop the £25,000 top prize.
Every one of the eight fighters in the line-up had fought or held either a European, Commonwealth or British belt and it promised to be the best Prizefighter event so far. More...

Barry Hearn’s Prizefighter returns next month and the latest competition promises to be the best yet.
Eight cruiserweights will be battling for the £25,000 top prize in the thrilling all-in-one-night tournament, which will be held at the Earls Court, London, on Tuesday, May 19.
The contenders have between them won two European belts, four Commonwealth championships and six British titles in the strongest looking line-up so far.
A press conference was held on the HMS Belfast on the River Thames and Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn is expecting fireworks next month.
“There are a lot of big names in this and I’ve enjoyed watching these guys careers over the last five, ten and 15 years," said Hearn, who has promoted more than 500 boxing shows.

Britain’s Amir Khan, 19-1 (15), takes on Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera in a clash for the WBO lightweight eliminator this Saturday night at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.
The bout is the main event of a stacked card by Frank Warren’s Sports Network, which also features Enzo Maccarinelli and Nicky Cook in WBO world championship bouts.
This is undoubtedly Khan’s biggest test thus far in his short career, while for Barrera, whose record consists of superstars and future hall of famers, it’s just a routine opponent, however by no means is he taking this test lightly. More...

Yesterday, at the Triangle Shopping Centre in Manchester, England, Frank Warren and Sports Network hosted the official weigh-in ahead of tonight's much anticipated clash between Amir Khan of Bolton, England, and Marco Antonio Barrera of Mexico as they fight for the vacant WBO Intercontinental and WBA International lightweight titles.
Well-known Promoter Don King, supplied the entertainment as he laughed and waved flags for the duration. 'Donning' a denim jacket embellished with his portrait and his slogan, 'Only In America - The Greatest Nation in the World', the fuzzy haired promoter looked to be enjoying the occasion as he stood on the podium awaiting the boxers and occasionally calling out 'Long Live Mexico'.
Looking to be a real 'people-man', King took time to speak to - and take photographs with - many of the general public waiting around the weigh-in area. More...

Olympic Bronze Medallist Tony Jeffries was unveiled to the British media today, ahead of his professional debut in Barnsley on Friday.
In a joint press conference with his Irish Olympic counterpart and fellow Maloney Promotions golden boy, Darren Sutherland, it was revealed that like Sutherland, Jeffries will taking on a Belorussian fighter.
Aliaksandr Vayavoda will be the target in question, as Jeffries steps down from light heavyweight as an amateur, to super middleweight for his entry to the pro game.
Jeffires said: "I have prepared well, doing my strength work. I'm the lightest I've ever been since I was seventeen years old, so I'm flying in the gym. I'm just raring to go and want to get into the ring." More...
