Your whole world ... ( 2 days ago by BeezQuixote)
Your whole world revolves around RJJ, so I might as well make this my last comment, b/c all your logic is flawed b/c it's geared around taking is from the back from RJJ. Here's some logical flaws: *RJJ got ass owned by Tarver and Johnson (both beat by an "old" Hopkins, not little guys eh?) *You guys cry "he's old! declined" *Hopkins beats these guys (Johnson in 1997 TKO, Tarver 2006, Hopkins was 41) *2008- RJJ is suddenly not old, and can beat Hopkins *Hopkins didn't use his size to beatwinky
*he used his boxing ... ( 2 days ago by BeezQuixote)
*he used his boxing skills and experience *Any boxing analyst would at least acknowledge Hopkins' abilities and accomplishments, even if he does not like him. This shows you are not a true boxing fan, you have your favorites and suck their dick. *Listing a fighter's previous losses does not cancel out their skills nor accomplishments. *Bhop's got 5 losses, (4 before Joe), RJJ has 4 losses, so they have similar # of losses, so how can you actually highlight losses when they have similar losses?
Personally, I am a ... ( 2 days ago by BeezQuixote)
Personally, I am a fan of Roy in his earlier career. He WAS a great fighter and had awesome abilities. I heard he used to play a game of league bball and then go to a fight within 24 hours of each other. Roy dominated his opponents, he was fast, he had knockout ability, BUT he doesn't have those thigns any more. Bhop after all his career can still deliver the goods. I just don't like how RJJ behaved in this video (yes it's funny too), and I think he ducked Bhop later in his career.
More logical ... ( 2 days ago by BeezQuixote)
More logical fallacies: You don't like Bhop b/c: 1.) He's over the hill? 2.) He's only fighting "small opponents"? 3.) He fights "mismatched" oppoonents? 4.) He's overrated? 5.) He lost to a few opponents, Taylor and Calzaghe? the other two losses were his first pro fight, and RJJ (he did not lose between 1993-2005) Besides, I'm a boxing fan, I love other great fighters than BHop: Pacquiao, Sergrio Mora, Cotto, Andre Ward, Marquez. do you see other fighters objectively, or just see RJJ?
well, like ... ( 2 days ago by BeezQuixote)
well, like mayweather said, america loves "Money and controversy" which are two things he uses to promote fights. The argument is entertaining. But RJJ said on national television: "Dunno what the hell ya'll talking about" "Your damn right" and "I'll kick yo' ass". Those are sort of curse words you won't want kids to listen to. 60-40, it's not about the money, but about the pride and self-worth of a fighter. Winky refused a rematch with Taylor b/c it wasn't 50/50 split.
Tarver was ... ( 2 days ago by frontin111)
Tarver was unfocused for Hopkins and only ever really cared about beating RJJ cause it meant somthing. Time caught RJJ differently than most becasue he used athletic ability more so than statagy. Prime vs prime like RJJ said 60/40 gets your ass tore up thems facts. No one says Hop doesn't have skill he just couldn't hold Roy's jock is all. I don't expect you to understand as B-hop nuts and you swallow. You showed you stupidity saying 1997 Hopkins was old and 170 was middle weight
Who has Hopkins ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
Who has Hopkins beat Tarver big deal. Winky little and ODLH little. When he fought Taylor lost Joe beat him like a bitch. Where was all his unmatched skill for those fights? What goods are you talking about? Please enough already about Hop he's got more loses than wins in the last five fights it's over for him. Swallow already and unclamp your lips from his cock. Turn around and let him fuck you like the bitch you are for him. Pav is going to beat him cause he's unfortunatly for Hop bigger
Read carefully, ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
Read carefully, 1997 Glen Johnson (COMMA), and Tarver 2006 he was old. The comma in the english language indicates a break in the sentence and perhaps introducing a new thought. It is obvious everything you say must have come from a commentator or another opinion as you can only recite lines from Roy Jones' argument on this video, repeat the same insults I threw at you, and formulate your own weird opinions about boxing greats past and present.
You answered your ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
You answered your own questions. 5.) He lost to a few opponents, Taylor and Calzaghe? (SOME of HIS last FIGHTS) 4.) He's overrated 1.) He's over the hill? 2.) He's only fighting "small opponents"?
Did he beat the bigger opponents? NO
Cotto, Willims, Margarito Pavlik, Calzaghe, Doniare, Pac, Vasquez, Miranda, Hatton, Maywheather, Gambua, Adamek, Haye, Dawson, Kirkland, Diaz, Casaymore, Marquez brothers, Berto, Clotty, Cintron, Malignaggi, Rijker(female) Yeah I watch.
I'm gonna stop ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
I'm gonna stop arguing with you b/c you have said things that are neither objective, intelligent, nor insightful. You have a very fixed, one-sided view of boxing that will never manifest in any type of truth or real understanding of boxing. Of all the pple I have debated about boxing with, you are the one that have actually the fewest truths I've ever heard. I have many times respected the views of the person I disagreed with when they provide something original and insightful to the table.
I listed what the ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
I listed what the average boxing spectator would think about Hopkins. It is obvious you agree with those "status quo" views, showing your mind is only average. Hopkins takes risks and strives to fight real fighters and real names, you know who the older overhyped RJJ is gonna fight to end his career? Your favorite Tarver IV in early 2009. What a scrub, so Roy Jones has been fighting no-name over the hill fighters his last few fights b/c unlike Hopkins, he is afraid of losing to real fighters
COMMA?? Here is ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
COMMA?? Here is what you wrote *RJJ got ass owned by Tarver and Johnson HERE IT COMES (both beat by an "old" Hopkins, not little guys eh?) And you were saying new thought Both guys biggest wins are against, Roy at the end of Roy's career. ARE YOU STUPID?? I know dumb question, we all know the answer. 1997 was 160 for Jhonson and lt heavy differnt guy wouldn't you say. But according to you Hop was old in 1997 I didn't hear Hop saying he wanted some of that or a rematch with a focused Tarver?
While RJJ was ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
While RJJ was losing to Glen John in his "Decline" in 2004, Bhop was listed by Ring Magazine as the best Pound for Pound fighter from 2004-2005. One year later, Jones refused a rematch... so under that time frame, Jones is scared. Jones is not fighting the "Big names" now except for Joe. He just wants a few easy paychecks, and to retire without actually fighting a dangerous fighter. You think he's 'fraid Joe's ass will hurt him at all? Hell no. Neither will hurt each other.
Afraid of losing to ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
Afraid of losing to real fighters??? Who was Hopkins last fight. Go ahead answer it. Now who is RJJ's next fight. Go ahead you can anser that one too just shout it out when you know. DID YOU COME UP WITH THE SAME NAME? You should have. I do give props to Hop for taking on Pav, if he wins I'll give him more respect, but.. aint happening Pav's gonna roll those eyes up before 7
Here is fact can ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
Here is fact can Hop beat Roy today 50 50 shot. Agreeing that both guys hit their prime at different times if the didn't, and were Prime in the same time frame, Roy tears that ass up. M.O. I think Prime for Hop started with is 20 consecutive title defenses.
My bad, I found out ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
My bad, I found out that he fought Johnson in 1997 after I made that comment, so oh no, I madea small mistake, an issue of "not knowing", and you jump on it as the basis of your new profound argument to prove how unintelligent I am. Very insightful. How could Hopkins fight Tarver in 1997 when he was weighing about 158-160lbs and Tarver weighed from 170-177lbs? I would use that as a "ur dumb" comment, but I feel I could be better than that, b/c you didn't know.
You keep putting " ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
You keep putting "Decline" like it's not true. Do you actually think RJJ was in his prime for that fight. Most experts would disagree with you.
Okay, I understand ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
Okay, I understand your opinion, I disagree with that. That part is finished. Who is Prince Badi? I wonder if Bhop can beat him? Let's see, Bhop's last four fights: two with Jermain Taylor, one with Winky Wright, one with Joe Calzaghe. Let's see RJJ's last few fights: Prince Badi Ajamu Anthony Hanshaw Felix Trinidad Bhop can beat all of these bums easy, but he chose to fight quality big name opponents, not bums he knew he could school to hype himself up.
I'm not denying ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
I'm not denying that it was a "decline", there's no better argument than using the other person's own words. And RJJ vs. Mason "the Line" Dixon IV is not gonna be filling seats. RJJ wants to finish unfinished business, just like Hopkins with RJJ. And has Tarver ever called out Hopkins after the fight (maybe he has)? I doubt it, b/c Hopkins outclassed him so bad he "played" with him end of round 10. Domination. Someone needs to put a pillow outside the ring in case Jones repeats Tarver 2
Where did I say ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
Where did I say Tarver fought Hop in 1997 LOL. 1997 was the year Tarver started his pro career, after a long layoff, and he had been dreaming about Roy all those in between years. I don't appreciate you saying something and then trying to twist it like I'm wrong with the comma BS when you plainly say BOTH were beat by an old HOP. And old Hop happened to be the point you were making which of coarse in 1997 was not true.
I'll give you ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
I'll give you opposition for Hop has been better as of recently. But Taylor/Jones could have never happened 160 title holder Taylor was. Now what if Jones beats Joe what then, his skill has declined and he beats a guy that beat Hop. Time will tell
I already took back ... ( 1 day ago by BeezQuixote)
I already took back that comment(s), so do you have anything new/intelligent to say? Are you out of boxing talk that you can only focus on nit-picking mistakes in a grander argument? The focus is on RJJ vs Hopkins and comparing their opposition, not one what comma, or what year something happened. And has Tarver ever called out Hopkins after a fight? Does Tarver WANT to fight Hopkins again? If I were him I'd focus on Rocky 7.
He couldn't rematch ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
He couldn't rematch Hop becasue if you remember Hop ran into retirement right after. No Rocky 7 for Tarver and Tarver has said he would like to avenge that loss, but he will not make it past Dawson. You do know that is his next fight
For the record I ... ( 1 day ago by frontin111)
For the record I don't think Jones will win. I actually think he will get stopped. He should just stop fighting really he will never be the same fighter.
