ray didnt stand ... ( 1 month ago by YakiKadafi90)
ray didnt stand toe2toe wit hearns or hagler fo a sec dont be ignorant. he did fight all 3, but he ducked all 3 too in avoided em as much as he could. he was scared to death of especially hagler n hearns, didnt want none. ppl today think he all great cuz he was a buisnessman. duran, hagler n hearns were all fighters. ray was d original busnessman n its due to him we got floyd n DLH doing wut they doing today, picking their oponents like they was at a restaurant
The idea is to hit ... ( 1 month ago by jackHNv)
The idea is to hit the other guy and not let him hit you, if you're as fast and skillful as Leonard, you'd have to be a moron just to stand still and trade, it doesn't make him a coward.
Using your logic Ali would have been a coward while he was young and fast, and suddenly got brave when he slowed down, which anyone who knows boxing would say is crap.
Leonard fought and beat every top fighter in the weight categories he fought,
i NEVER said ray ... ( 1 month ago by YakiKadafi90)
i NEVER said ray was a coward cuz he didnt trade wit em, NEVER EVER. its not at all "my logic" i dont know were u got dat from. what i said was duran gave ray a rematch when he beat him, ray didnt do d same. tommy more than deserved a rematch but ray didnt give him one cuz he knew he got lucky just like he didnt give marvin one after he got dat BS decision. he only rematched hearns cuz ppl said he was shot after losing to barkley, eighter way he was 8years late. he ducked, didnt run

my all time fav is tommy hearns...but u can never say sugar ray wasnt a boxer who faced and defetaed them all....he took tommys, and duran
´s best punches, he defeated hagler...he was a very complete boxer, great speed, great chin, great technic and good punch wih both hands...i respect him pretty much...
duran beat ray n ... ( 1 month ago by YakiKadafi90)
duran beat ray n gave him a rematch, ray reversed d decision n didnt return d favor.. FOTY hearns is beating ray then tanks out, if theres ever been a fight needing a rematch dat d one but ray didnt give him one. instead he avoided him 8yrs til ppl said hearns was shot, then he wanted to fight him.. fought hagler got a BS decision, even more needing of a rematch then vs hearns. hagler such a great champ deserved one just like hearns had in his performance, ray didnt give it to eighter fighter

Duran quit in the ... ( 1 month ago by allankles)
Duran quit in the rematch there was no justification for an immediate rematch. He ko'd Hearns in a tough fight, sure he could have given him an immediate rematch, but why hold that against him? They fought years later anyway. He had problems with his eyes that forced him into a number of early retirements and he lost big chunks of his career. Hagler was always going to be a one-off fight, it was supposed to be Hagler's last fight, no one should have had illusions that there'd be a rematch.

exactly m8 the only 2 big fights he lost were hagler broke his hand. and leonard premature stoppage in my opinion so sayin he dint do well in nig fights is bullshit
He won titles in 6 ... ( 6 days ago by RogerYomama)
He won titles in 6 different weight classes. To me, that is a man who gets the job done. The Hagler fight could have gone either way and he was robbed against Leonard.
im not saying that ... ( 6 days ago by catchfree84)
im not saying that he wasnt a legend but he had fights against other legends and he loss..i think it he fought sugar ray twice and loss..dont quote me on that but i think they fought twice...tommy is still a beast and one of the greats in my eyes..but those fights against leonard and hagler could of put him in a whole other category...and how could the fight against hagler gone either way when hagler knocked him out lol
He fought leonard ... ( 6 days ago by bibi12879)
He fought leonard the second time and it ended up a draw! even though he knocked down leonard 3 times! and that fight against hagler could of gone either way IF he hadnt broke his hand in the first round! hagler and hearns should of fought again!
You are right, he ... ( 6 days ago by RogerYomama)
You are right, he did fight Leonard twice, one was a fucking awful stoppage where after dominating Leonard for the entire fight, the ref waved it with Hearns not really in that much trouble. The other was some shady scoring by the judges after just about everyone who saw it had Hearns ahead. I know Hagler KO'd Hearns, but Hearns had hurt Hagler early in the fight and opened him up. If Hearns had boxed from a distance he could well have forced a stoppage on cuts. It's all if's and but's though.
he was a monster!! ( 6 days ago by redryan5048)
