Josh Padley Beats Aqib Fiaz To Keep European Super Featherweight Title
Josh Padley kept hold of his European super featherweight title in Sheffield, but Aqib Fiaz made him work for it. This was not a clean, easy champion’s stroll. Padley got the points win, Fiaz lost a point late for a headbutt, and the main event gave the DAZN card a proper bit of edge.
Main Event: Padley Edges Fiaz Over 12
Josh Padley moved to 19-1-0 with a points win over Aqib Fiaz, who drops to 14-2-0, after 12 rounds for the EBU European Super Feather title.
Padley handled business, but this was a real title fight rather than a routine defence. Fiaz was deducted one point in round eleven for headbutting, which obviously did him no favours at that stage of the fight. Padley came through it and kept the belt, and that is the bit that matters most for him.
Co-Main: Sulaimaan Beats Nadim For English Title
Ibraheem Sulaimaan stayed unbeaten, moving to 11-0-0 with a points win over Ibrahim Nadim, who falls to 16-2-0, after 10 rounds for the BBBofC English Super Feather title.
That is a very tidy win for Sulaimaan. Nadim had the experience, but Sulaimaan got the job done over the full distance and picked up the English title with it.

Edward Hardy stayed unbeaten at 7-0-0 with a points win over Jesus Carrasco, now 2-5-2, after six rounds at featherweight. Carrasco was deducted points in the third and fifth rounds, Hardy lost a point in the fourth, and Carrasco was also down in the sixth from a left to the head.
Connor Mitchell moved to 3-0-0 with a first-round TKO win over Rodrigo Matias Areco, who falls to 5-22-2.
Chris Mulunda improved to 3-0-0 with a four-round points win over Connor Goulding, who drops to 6-13-0, at middleweight.
Final Word
Padley leaves Sheffield still European champion, Sulaimaan picked up a proper domestic title win, and Atang continued to look like a heavyweight worth keeping an eye on. Not a bad night’s work.
