Let’s Get It On Boxing: Joey Gilbert Headlines “Rural Rumble/Fallon Nights 2009” Fight Card

Super middleweight contender Joey Gilbert returns to the ring on Saturday, August 29th in the main event of an action packed evening of professional boxing at the Churchill County Fairgrounds presented by Reno’s Let’s Get It On Promotions and the City of Fallon, Nevada.

Said Terry Lane and Tommy Lane of Let’s Get It On Promotions, ‘”We’re very happy to work with the city of Fallon and their team for the second year in a row to present this event. We’ve got an excellent card put together and are looking forward to another terrific evening of professional boxing.”

Gilbert, 17-2-0 (13KO’s), is returning to the ring following his showdown loss with cross-town rival Jesse Brinkley on February 14th at the Reno Events Center.

Said Gilbert, ‘I’m very happy to be given this opportunity to fight again in the Northern Nevada area. I’m been in the gym for the last few weeks and have been working very hard towards returning to the ring.”

Featured on the undercard will be Reno based brothers Derek and Tyler Hinkey. Both brothers will be looking to improve upon their most recent appearances on the undercard of the Jesse Brinkley vs. Mike Paschall event on July 10th.

Said Terry Lane, “Derek won his fight but he felt his performance was a little lackluster and is looking to putting on terrific performance in Fallon. For Tyler, it’s a chance at redemption, he’s looking forward to bouncing back from his first loss and is grateful for the opportunity to do it in Fallon.”

Middleweight Derek carries a record of 8-1-0 (7KO’s), while Tyler’s first loss moved his record to 5-1-1 (4KO’s) in the heavyweight division.

Also on the card, sensational undefeated lightweight prospect Bayan Jargal will make his first Northern Nevada appearance. Thrilling crowds across the country with his thunderous power, Jargal carries a record of 13-0-1 (9KO’s) into battle, most recently knocking out previously undefeated Josh Durden on July 25th at Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Said Lane, “Bayan has all the skills to become a world champion and the fans in Fallon are in for a real treat to see him in action.”
