TKO Boxing Promotions has signed Florida amateur standout Joseph Elegele, it was announced today by Chet Koerner, it’s President.

The Melbourne, Florida native who will compete as a junior welterweight was dominant as an amateur with a record of 69-8. The southpaw is trained by Tony Morgan who also trains world champion Andre Berto.

The 24 year old Elegele is guided by award winning manager Cameron Dunkin who also counts world champions Kelly Pavlik, Nonito Donaire and Steven Luevano amongst his vast stable.

Said Dunkin, “Joseph has been a terror on the Florida amateur scene for many years and is an excellent boxer with knockout power in both hands. He’s ready to make the jump to the professional ranks and we believe he will be very successful.”

Elegele will make his pro debut under the TKO Boxing Promotions banner on Saturday, September 19th in Hartford, Connecticut.

TKO has also signed outstanding amateur Robert Rodriguez of Evans, Colorado.

“Robert was an excellent amateur and we’re proud to add him to the TKO team of international contenders and world class prospects” said Koerner.
