Middleweight Karl “KJ” Noons will take to the hill on Wednesday night, August 19th at Petco Park to throw out the first pitch before the San Diego Padres take on the Chicago Cubs.
Noons will square off in a six round bout against Randy Pogue on Saturday, August 22nd at “TKO World Championship Boxing at the Pala Casino”
“I’ve been a fan of the Padres for a long time and this is really a thrill to be on the field before the game and throw out the first pitch” said San Diego native Noons.
Sporting a record of 10-2-0 with six knockouts, Noons is coming off an outstanding six round unanimous decision win over Enrique Gallegos on May 28th at the Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas.
In preparation for his upcoming match at the Pala Casino, Noons has been sparring at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, California.
Pennsylvania native Pogue brings a record of 8-8-2 (2KO’s) into the six round battle against Noons.
