Gradus Kraus Blasts Out Sean Hemphill In One

Gradus Kraus (12-0-0) made a statement in the co-main event, stopping Sean Hemphill (19-4-0) by TKO in the opening round of their light heavyweight contest.

Hemphill brought considerably more professional experience into the fight, but none of that mattered once Kraus got going. A scheduled ten-rounder was finished inside the first. Kraus stays unbeaten and moves to 12-0 with another stoppage added to his record.

Key Undercard Results

Hassan Azim (10-0-0) didn’t hang around either. He dropped Jack Martin (10-3-0) twice before securing a first-round TKO in their scheduled eight-round super welterweight contest. Ten fights, ten wins for Azim, and this was a particularly emphatic way to reach double figures.

Someone’s unbeaten record had to go when Mauro Silva (10-0-0) met Tyler Christopher (12-1-0). It was Christopher who suffered his first defeat, with Silva taking the points decision after eight rounds at middleweight and keeping his own perfect record intact.

There was another first defeat a little further down the card. Ashlee Eales (13-2-0) outpointed previously unbeaten Diego Krasimirov (10-1-0) over eight rounds at super welterweight. A bit of an upset on paper and another very useful win for Eales.

Billy Pickles (19-1-0) handled business against Max Curtis (10-2-0), taking the points verdict at the end of their six-round super lightweight contest.

Undercard

Ben Rees (8-0-1) stopped previously unbeaten Marvin Tomlinson (4-1-0) by TKO in round two of their scheduled six-round light heavyweight fight.

James Dean Fury made a winning professional debut, outpointing Dzmitry Atrokhau (16-36-0) over six rounds at super middleweight.

Heavyweight Frazer Clarke (10-3-1) stopped Lamah Griggs (3-14-1) by TKO in the second round of their scheduled six-round contest.

Billy Deniz (16-0-0) maintained his unbeaten record when Alex Carter (5-3-0) retired in round two of their six-round super middleweight bout, giving Deniz the RTD victory.

At cruiserweight, Bradley Casey (6-0-0) remained unbeaten with a points win over Ross McGuigan (7-14-1) after four rounds.

Simpson Levels The Score

Simpson getting his revenge was the story at the top of the bill, but Kraus and Azim certainly made sure they were noticed with those first-round finishes. Eales deserves a mention as well – going in against an unbeaten fighter and coming away with the win is never a bad night’s work.
