Teremoana Teremoana Knocks Out DeAndre Savage in Two

The unbeaten Australian heavyweight needed just two rounds to get rid of DeAndre Savage, scoring a knockout and moving his professional record to 12-0. Savage had arrived at 11-1 and represented another step forward on paper, but Teremoana made rather short work of that test.

Michael Zerafa also got the stoppage he wanted, halting Alejandro Ortiz in the eighth round, while Jack Bowen, Omar El-Abdallah and Reube Thornberry all recorded stoppage victories further down the bill.

Teremoana Teremoana Knocks Out DeAndre Savage

Teremoana Teremoana (12-0-0) kept his unbeaten heavyweight run going in emphatic fashion, knocking out DeAndre Savage (11-2-0) in the second round of their ten-round main event.

Savage came in with only one defeat on his record, but he simply didn’t last long enough to turn this into the examination Teremoana might have expected. The Australian got the job done inside two rounds and added another early finish to his rise through the heavyweight ranks.

There is always a temptation to get carried away with a heavyweight who keeps flattening people, and tougher nights will obviously come. Still, you can only deal with the opponent in front of you. Teremoana did that rather brutally here.

Another win, another knockout and now a 12-0 record. He certainly isn’t making these fights boring.

Michael Zerafa Stops Alejandro Ortiz

Michael Zerafa (35-5-0) had a longer night’s work but also finished matters inside the distance, stopping Alejandro Ortiz (26-2-0) by TKO in round eight of their scheduled ten-round middleweight contest.

Ortiz arrived with an impressive 26-1 record, so this wasn’t a meaningless run-out for Zerafa. He handled business and eventually forced the stoppage in the eighth, moving on to 35 professional victories.

Jack Bowen Gets Seventh-Round Stoppage

Super-middleweight Jack Bowen (14-1-0) stopped Mielifeier Dalielibieke (10-4-0) by TKO in round seven of their scheduled eight-round fight.

Bowen had to work considerably longer than some of the other winners on the card, but getting Dalielibieke out of there before the final bell was a decent way to move his record on to 14-1.

Jasmine Parr Outpoints Jemma Peart

Jasmine Parr (9-2-0) came through a competitive-looking matchup on paper against Jemma Peart (9-2-0), taking the victory by unanimous decision.

There was no stoppage this time, with Parr getting the nod on the scorecards and handing Peart the second defeat of her professional career.

Undercard

Unbeaten light-heavyweight Omar El-Abdallah (6-0-0) stopped Jordan Towns (8-5-0) by TKO in round three. The contest was fought at an agreed weight of 77.5kg, and El-Abdallah kept his perfect record intact with the early finish.

Lekaysha Woodbridge (5-0-0) also remained unbeaten, outpointing Sothita Sitthichai (13-6-0) by unanimous decision. Woodbridge moves on to 5-0 after going the distance for the win.

Super-welterweight Reube Thornberry stopped debutant Kai Kurr by TKO in round two of their scheduled four-round contest. The supplied BoxRec Results Pack continues to list Thornberry at 3-0-0 and Kurr as debut, so those records have been retained exactly as provided.

The lasting image from the card, though, belongs to Teremoana. Savage was supposed to give the unbeaten heavyweight another test. Two rounds later, it was all over.
