Monday September 14th will mark the second meeting of the Boxing Promoters Association (BPA).
Just like the first one, which took place on July 20th and included more than thirty of the United States top promoters, the meeting will be held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.
At the first meeting, the promoters discussed the current state of boxing and the need to establish a unified association.
After an all day meeting, the promoters unanimously agreed to form a trade association by signing the Declaration of the Boxing Promoters Association and addressed and conversed over numerous boxing industry issues as set forth in a multi-point agenda.
On many points, the Promoters found themselves in unanimous agreement. Over the past 2 months, the Association has been completing the formation process and membership procedure.
The not-for-profit entity will continue its work on the 14th, and will have major announcements thereafter, including announcing its membership, Board of Directors and Committee appointments.
Industry wide progress has already begun and official BPA policy and position will be set forth publicly at and after the next meeting.
