Boxing Update: Campillo Agress To Rematch Shumenov After Dispute

Representatives of WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Gabriel Campillo and challenger Beibut Shumenov have announced that they have agreed to a rematch, thereby resolving all of their present disputes.

The bout will likely take place in Nevada next January.

The pair first met a month ago at Daulet Sports Complex in Astana, Kazakhstan with Campillo defending his title for the first time with a majority decision after 12 rounds of combat.

Southpaw Campillo, 19-2 (6), who won the title by upsetting Hugo Hernan Garay in June, ended the run of high profile victories by prospect Shumenov, 8-1 (6).
