Boxing’s No. 1 pound-for-pound king and the reigning Fighter of the Year, Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao, will be bringing the heat when he throws out the Ceremonial First Pitch at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. before the San Diego Padres – Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game, today.
This event will conclude the cross-country, five-city, two-ocean media tour promoting “Fire Power”, the world welterweight title fight between Pacquiao and three-time world champion and the pride of Puerto Rico, Miguel Cotto.
This will be Pacquiao’s final US appearance before heading back to the Philippines to begin training camp.
Tomorrow’s Padres-Diamondbacks game at Petco Park will be part of the Padres’ Filipino Heritage Night.
Pacquiao will host a news conference at 6 p.m. PT in the Auxiliary Locker Room, located in the service corridor. Pacquiao will then participate in a public pre-game ceremony at 6:30 p.m., followed by Pac Man taking the mound to throw out the first pitch at 6:55 p.m. The game will begin at 7:05 p.m.
