Academy Award-winning actor and superstar Denzel Washington squared off with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko after a recent workout at LB 4 LB Boxing gym in Los Angeles with Klitschko’s longtime trainer, the respected Fritz Sdunek.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs), of Los Angeles, will defend his WBC title against undefeated, No. 1-ranked contender Cristobal Arreola (27-0, 24 KOs), of Riverside by way of East L.A., in an eagerly awaited showdown of heavy hitters at Staples Center.
The power-punching Arreola, who has had only one fight go the distance (24 by KO, two by DQ – on the way to a KO), will try to make history by becoming the first boxer of Mexican descent to capture a world heavyweight championship.
