Misfits Boxing returns to the Utilita Arena Newcastle on Saturday, 12 September, with a card that makes considerably more sense once you know who everybody is and why they are fighting.

The show is headlined by rapper Jordan McCann against the self-proclaimed “UK’s Hardest Man” Big Stacks. Their rivalry began with a punch at an open workout, while the supporting card mixes Olympic pedigree, professional boxers, reality television personalities, musicians, bodybuilders and internet figures.

Nine fights are currently listed, including two late additions. The main card is scheduled to begin at 7pm BST and will be shown live on DAZN, although the running order and individual ring-walk times remain subject to change.

Jordan McCann vs Big Stacks

This main event did not require an invented storyline. Misfits simply had to put a ring around an argument that had already become physical.

McCann and Big Stacks clashed during the open workout ahead of Tommy Fury’s June meeting with Eddie Hall. Stacks had become involved in a confrontation with Tyson Fury’s brother Shane when McCann intervened, briefly grabbed Stacks around the head and struck him in the face.

The punch left Stacks with a split lip and damaged teeth, nearly costing him his scheduled fight with Armz Korleone. Stacks eventually competed under hastily arranged body-shots-only rules and was stopped in the fourth round. McCann fought Ibiza Final Boss on the same bill and lost a majority decision after four chaotic rounds.

That means Newcastle’s headline fight features two men looking for their first conventional Misfits victory, but their defeats revealed very different things.

McCann’s contest with Ibiza Final Boss was technically dreadful but undeniably entertaining. He threw wide punches, tired quickly and was warned after appearing to bite Jack Kay’s ear. There was also a headbutt and something resembling a rugby tackle. For all the disorder, McCann remained willing to exchange after being hurt and exhausted.

Big Stacks has yet to complete a public boxing match in which punches to the head were permitted. His bout with Armz demonstrated that he could absorb body shots for several rounds, but it told us almost nothing about his defence or reaction to being hit cleanly upstairs.

Stacks appears to hold the physical advantage. He has been listed at around 6ft 5in and approximately 249lb, giving him the size to make life uncomfortable if he can establish a jab and keep McCann outside. The complication is that no public evidence shows he can do that.

The contest is currently listed for four three-minute rounds. Twelve minutes would be demanding for two men whose previous appearances were fought under shorter or restricted conditions. McCann has at least experienced a proper head-contact brawl. Stacks remains the larger but less proven fighter.

Even his real name has become part of the confusion. Current sources identify him as both Charlie Cox and Charlie Robert, so sticking with Big Stacks may be the safest option until somebody produces the birth certificate.

Jade Jones vs Sheena Bathory

The most credible sporting contest outside Laws versus Benn features two women whose combat experience comes from very different places.

Jade Jones won Olympic taekwondo gold for Great Britain at London 2012 and Rio 2016. She later became a world champion and collected numerous European and Grand Prix honours before moving into boxing.

Removing kicks from the equation inevitably takes away Jones’ greatest weapon, but elite balance, timing, distance control and composure do not disappear when an athlete changes disciplines. She has already demonstrated that during two one-sided Misfits victories.

Jones stopped Egypt Criss in the second round of her debut before overwhelming FederiKita in Manchester. She forced a standing count in the opening round and continued the attack until FederiKita’s corner ended the contest after 59 seconds of the second.

Sheena Bathory, whose real name is Franciska Szabo, represents a much more physical challenge. The Hungarian competes in Power Slap, where she is listed at 5ft 5in, 145lb and with a 5-1 record. She also made short work of Tina Snows in her Misfits debut, forcing a stoppage after just 69 seconds.

Bathory entered the ring after Jones defeated FederiKita and called for the fight. Jones immediately accepted, creating a matchup between an Olympic technician and an opponent accustomed to delivering and absorbing heavy impact.

Bathory’s route to an upset is to charge into close range and prevent Jones from settling into a rhythm. Power Slap does not prepare somebody to defend combinations or manage distance, but it does suggest Bathory will not be intimidated by the threat of one clean punch.

Jones should be considerably quicker and more polished. If she controls the space with straight punches and refuses to be dragged into a physical wrestling match, her advantage in movement and timing ought to become obvious.

The fight is advertised on the latest card as being for the Misfits women’s super-middleweight title.

Ibiza Final Boss vs BBCC Gareth

Ibiza Final Boss was working in construction before an eight-second clip of him dancing in Ibiza turned Jack Kay into one of Britain’s most recognisable viral personalities.

The bowl haircut, sunglasses, gold chain and complete confidence provided the image. Kay then did a surprisingly good job of converting a brief internet moment into appearances, endorsements and a place on Misfits Boxing.

His first fight brought a majority-decision victory over Jordan McCann. Kay hurt McCann early and remained the aggressor, although both men were exhausted by the closing stages. The scorecards read 38-38 and 39-37 twice after four two-minute rounds.

Kay now fights in his home city against BBCC Gareth, real name Gareth Kelly, from Bradford bassline group Bad Boy Chiller Crew.

Kelly’s fame existed long before his Misfits appearance. Bad Boy Chiller Crew progressed from comedy and prank videos to chart success, television and a number-two UK mixtape. He also owns the cleaner boxing finish of the two, having stopped Kak Hatt after 1 minute and 33 seconds of the opening round in January 2025.

That result only offers limited information because the contest lasted 93 seconds. Kay has completed four competitive rounds against an opponent who continued swinging back, and he says his preparation has been far more structured this time.

Gareth is reportedly the taller man, but Kay has shown greater evidence of durability and has the Newcastle crowd behind him. Neither should be confused with a seasoned boxer, yet this is reasonably even matchmaking by crossover standards.

Warren Spencer vs Ashley Rak-Su

Warren Spencer and Ashley Rak-Su are not meeting for the first time. Available records show that Spencer defeated Ashley by unanimous decision in a 2024 exhibition, making their Newcastle contest a rematch.

Ashley Tebi Fongho rose to fame as a member of Rak-Su, the group that won The X Factor in 2017. He made his Misfits debut against experienced MMA fighter Anthony Taylor in 2022 and lost a three-round decision. He returned the following year and outpointed Halal Ham over three rounds in Newcastle.

Spencer has followed a more demanding route through crossover combat sports. Dillon Danis submitted him in only 15 seconds when Misfits introduced MMA in August 2025, but Spencer subsequently boxed six rounds against former UFC interim champion Tony Ferguson.

Ferguson won a unanimous decision, although Spencer recovered after a difficult start and had some success during the middle rounds. Going the distance against Ferguson gave him experience that is difficult to replicate in training.

Ashley has promised an early knockout, but Spencer has already defeated him and has faced the stronger recent opposition. Over four rounds, Spencer begins as the logical favourite unless Ashley has made considerable improvements since their first meeting.

Armz vs Kelz

Armz Korleone, real name Baffour Boateng, has considerably more Misfits experience than debutant Kelz Dyke.

Armz has beaten Malcolm Minikon, stopped Master Oogway and most recently defeated Big Stacks in their unusual body-shots-only contest. His second victory over Minikon was later overturned to a no contest after a drug test reportedly detected synthetic testosterone.

Reports said Armz received a four-year suspension backdated to November 2023. That punishment should apparently still be active, yet Armz competed in June and is again advertised for Newcastle. It remains unclear whether these contests are being treated as exhibitions outside the suspension, whether a different authority is involved or whether the sanction has subsequently changed.

Kelz is a 6ft 6in former American-football player who became widely known through Netflix reality programme Too Hot to Handle. He is athletic, physically imposing and considerably taller than the average debutant, but there is no reliable public evidence of previous sanctioned boxing experience.

Armz should understand distance, pressure and pacing far better. Kelz needs to use his height immediately rather than allowing Armz to walk through his reach and turn the contest into a strength battle. Size gives the newcomer a chance, but experience makes Armz the safer selection.

Joe Laws vs Harley Benn

The six-round meeting between Joe Laws and Harley Benn is the card’s conventional professional fight and could produce its best sustained action.

Laws is a popular Newcastle ticket seller known as the “Benwell Bomber.” His aggressive style and willingness to exchange have earned him a loyal local following, although his 15-4 record also shows the limitations of that approach against stronger opposition.

Benn enters at 9-2 and carries one of British boxing’s most famous surnames. He is the son of former two-weight world champion Nigel Benn and the older half-brother of Conor Benn by four days, although Harley has spoken openly about being estranged from both.

This fight has been discussed for a long time. Laws repeatedly called for meetings with Benn and Idris Virgo, while Laws and Benn traded insults during interviews and public confrontations. They were previously due to meet on the postponed KSI versus Dillon Danis card in March 2025.

Unlike most of the night’s feuds, their argument was not created a few weeks ago to accompany a bout announcement.

Laws will want to turn the arena’s energy into immediate pressure. Benn may be better served by remaining composed, allowing Laws to overcommit and catching him during his entries. Both men have enough professional experience to recognise the other’s mistakes, although that may not prevent them from abandoning caution once the exchanges begin.

For all the attention around the internet personalities, this could be the fight that feels most familiar to traditional boxing supporters.

Nitboy vs Kane West

Nitboy, publicly identified as Callum Chester, meets Kane West in a four-round contest between two Misfits debutants.

Nitboy has built his online following through stunts, tattoos and appearances around the HS TikkyTokky social-media world. West has repeatedly challenged and confronted him in online clips, providing Misfits with another ready-made personality feud.

There is little reliable sporting information on either man. No established amateur record, previous sanctioned contest or consistently verified tale of the tape has surfaced.

The edited confrontations prove they are willing to perform for cameras but reveal almost nothing about how they will react when the bell rings. The weigh-in may provide the first useful information about their relative size and physical condition. Until then, any confident technical prediction would be guesswork wearing boxing gloves.

Wil Anderson vs Luke Dyson

Wil Anderson against Luke Dyson was added after the first group of undercard announcements.

Anderson is a former Love Island participant and the brother of Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson. He has previous Misfits experience, having faced Diversity member Jordan Banjo over four three-minute rounds in May 2025.

Public databases disagree over the precise classification of Anderson’s subsequent activity, but he is clearly the more experienced man entering this matchup. Far less dependable information is available on Dyson, making Anderson’s familiarity with the event and ring environment the most obvious advantage.

Amelia Hewitt vs Lisamarie Hacobian

The latest published card also includes Sunderland’s Amelia Hewitt against Lisamarie Hacobian, who is billed as “Kimbo Bimbo.”

Both women are listed as debutants, with the contest reportedly taking place around 125lb over four two-minute rounds. The fight appeared during the final week of promotion and very little credible form is available for either competitor.

That makes it another bout best assessed after the weigh-in rather than through social-media follower counts and promotional clips.

All formats remain subject to official confirmation, particularly the length of the crossover rounds and the contracted weight for Jones against Bathory.

McCann versus Big Stacks will attract the viral clips, but Newcastle’s strongest fights may sit beneath it. Jones faces her first genuinely forceful crossover opponent, Spencer and Rak-Su revisit an overlooked previous meeting, and Laws against Benn brings professional experience and a rivalry that existed before this particular card needed selling.

The main event may not answer who the hardest man in Britain is. It should at least establish whether either of them can box for four full rounds without biting anybody.
