The town of Kitchener, Ontario is a community rich in history, but its two proudest traditions are Oktoberfest and boxing.
On Friday, October 9, Vanderpool Promotions brings together the best Kitchener has to offer, as Bingeman’s Fest Hall plays host to “Oktoberfist”, a showcase of some of the top amateur boxing talent in Canada.
In the main event, Kitchener’s own Natasha “The Nightmare” Spence will make her final appearance as an amateur. The Ontario Golden Gloves champion will be turning pro this fall, along with Destiny Boxing stablemate Julius “Cesar” Bunda, who will be in attendance to sign on for his first professional bout during intermission.
Soon following in their footsteps will be top-level amateurs and Golden Gloves champions Lucas “Death” Rowe, Jessica “The Cobra” Camara and Shawn “The Flurry” Murray, who will all be in action on Friday night as well.
Vanderpool has a hand in United Boxing Promotions, which has already scheduled six events at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, ON.
Bunda figures to be an integral part of the events as he embarks upon a professional career.
Fans will have a chance to meet with Vanderpool, Bunda, and a host of local celebrities, including one of Canada’s top fitness models, Mel Warrington, both during a VIP dinner and during intermission.
