Mads Larsen against Dimitri Sartison for the vacant European supermiddle title goes ahead January 16 in Aarhus, Denmark, on a show staged by Palm Promotion, headed by former European welter champ Hans Henrik Palm.

WBA light heavy champ Gabriel Campillo´s defence of the title against Beibut Shumenov appears to be on for December 18 in Las Vegas.

Hatton Promotions will begin 2010 with European middleweight champ Matthew Macklin defending the title against Russian Dimitri Pirog. Exact site and date is to be announced.

WBC Youth and NABF junior welter champ Ali Chebah defends the titles against Mexican Javier Prieto November 12 in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria.

The annual show in Izegem, Belgium, November 1 is this year headlined by BeNeLux championship fight at lightweight between Hovic Jamkothian and Richard Asare. The Izegem events goes ahead every November 1 and December 25 and have been doing so all the way back to the 60´s.

Finnish-Swedish heavyweight Robert Helenius, 9-0, is reportedly standby opponent if either Cengiz Koc or Oleg Platov should pull out. Platov vs Koc is scheduled for the undercard to Valuev vs Haye November 7 in Nuremberg. Helenius is also – again not confirmed – set for a showdown against ex-WBO heavyweight champ Lamon Brewster December 5 in Ludwigsburg.

Swiss middle Yves Studer defends the EE-EU title against Andrey Salakhutdzinau December 26 in Bern with Boxing Kings promoting.

The German Federation, the EBU member BDB that is, will be main supervising body for Vitaly Klitschko´s defence of the WBC heavyweight title against Kevin Johnson December 12 in Bern. This arrangement is made to get around the age limit of 35 the Swiss Federation have in their rules.

Caleb Kuya of Osaga Promotion will promote a show December 4 in Aalborg, Denmark, headlined by a lightweight showdown between Athanas Nzau and Kim Poulsen.

Osaga have mainly been active as a promoter in Kenya but Caleb Kuya was for years a good amateur with Denmark as base. The show in Aalborg also marks the return of former European welter champ Christian Bladt.
