Joey Essex vs Dapper Laughs headlines latest Misfits Boxing card in London

Misfits Boxing returns to London on Saturday, October 10, with Joey Essex facing Dapper Laughs in the main event at the Copper Box Arena. The bill mixes the headline crossover bout with a heavyweight clash, a women’s title fight and two tag-team contests.

Main Event: Joey Essex vs Dapper Laughs

Essex is back for his second Misfits appearance after winning his debut against Portuguese influencer Numeiro. The reality TV star has been working with his uncle, trainer Tony Sims, as he looks to build on that first outing.

Daniel O’Reilly, better known as Dapper Laughs, also enters with a Misfits win behind him. He stopped Simple Simon in the first round, giving the comedian a finish to point to as he takes on Essex. Both men are unbeaten at 1-0, so Saturday’s headliner will give one of them a first defeat in the ring.

Key Fights

Heavyweights Gary Olive and Plinio Cruz meet in a notable supporting bout. Cruz is known outside boxing as a coach to UFC star Alex Pereira, while Olive has worked with Misfits heavyweight Chase DeMoor.

Former Premier League defender James Collins makes his boxing debut against Big Stacks. Collins played for West Ham United and Aston Villa, and now faces a heavyweight opponent already familiar with the Misfits scene.

Jordan McCann takes on Mo Deen in another heavyweight contest. McCann returns after his recent grudge match with Big Stacks, while Deen brings a sizeable following from social media.

Women’s Lightweight Title

Carla Jade puts the Misfits women’s lightweight title on the line against Erika Night. Jade will be looking to get back to winning ways, while Night has the chance to make a statement in a title fight.

More from the Card

Swarmz meets Ambush Buzzworl in a welterweight bout, adding another familiar crossover matchup to the programme.

The card also features a survivor tag contest between Lil Cracra, Joey Knight, Andrew Howson and Felony Charles. In a separate tag-team bout, Nitboy and Kane West face Cracky Tokky and Little T.

The first bout is scheduled for 6pm BST, with the event streaming on DAZN. With Essex and Dapper Laughs bringing the celebrity interest, and a mix of title action and unusual tag formats underneath, Misfits has built a varied night for its return to the Copper Box Arena.
