Star Boxing: Andrade Gives Back To Community In Providence, Rhode Island

Last week, Providence, Rhode Island’s favorite son, 2007 Amateur World Champion and 2008 U.S. Olympian, Demetrius Andrade, held his inaugural “Knock Out Hunger” turkey drive at the West End Community Center in downtown Providence.

The event was a huge success, feeding hundreds of less fortunate families throughout the Providence area.

Southpaw Andrade, 8-0 (6), co-promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and Banner Promotions, has beaten three undefeated opponents during his burgeoning career and at just 21 years of age has shown tremendous promise as a professional.

The unbeaten light middleweight was last in the ring on October 3 when he posted a six round decision over Chris Chatman and could next see action at Laredo, TX in January.
