Reigning European boxing champions Matthew Macklin and Katie Taylor will put their football skills to the test at the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin from 3pm Tuesday at the launch of PopitBall, the latest, exciting innovation in football.
Macklin, who holds the European Middleweight title headlines the Sierra Fight Night at the National Stadium in Dublin this Saturday when he takes on Uruguayan Champion Rafa Sosa Pintos live on RTÉ Two.
Taylor, the reigning European Lightweight amateur champ is of course is no stranger to a football as a regularly stars for Ireland’s international women’s soccer team while Macklin’s Tipperary roots mean he’s usually more comfortable with a hurley.
The launch which will also feature a display of freestyle football skills begins at 3pm in the central area of the green mall at the Blanchardstown Centre.
