Danish Palm Promotions won today´s purse bids for the fight for the vacant European super middle title between Mads Larsen and Brian Magee. Palm bid 303 303 EUR while Sauerland came in with an offer for 255 309 EUR. The fight goes ahead January 30 in Aarhus. In the chief support Lolenga Mock face Medhi Bouadla for the vacant European Union super middle title.

Bild Zeitung writes that WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko will next fight in April or May. Bild adds that Vitali wants to fight no other than former WBA king Nikolai Valuev. As for Wladimir Klitschko, IBF and WBO ruler, he defends the title against Eddie Chambers March 20. David Haye? Well, he is on the waiting list.

Arena Box Promotion was quick to come out with a press release just after Oleg Maskaev, WBC # 2, had been stopped by Nagy Aguilera. The WBC had ordered an eliminator between Maskaev and Ray Austin but with Maskaev out WBC # 3, Odlanier Solis should take his spot.

Former WBA super middle champ Christophe Tiozzo is to comeback. It was first set for a show December 18 in Monaco but is now moved to February 7. The 47-year old Tiozzo has yet to apply for a license with the French Federation.

Christophe won the WBA title in 1990 and retired in 1992 after losing to Jeff Harding in a bid for the WBC light heavyweight crown. He retired but came back in 95-96 for three fights. He was at his peak an exellent fighter but was always surrounded by rumors of a lifestyle not suited for a professional boxer.

SES and German Titov Boxing Promotion join forces for the Natascha Ragosina vs Pamela London fight for the WIBF heavyweight title December 19 in Ekaterinburg. On the undercard Czech Lukas Konecny moves up to middle and squares off against Sergey Khomitski over ten. Also on the bill is Russian heavy Dennis Bakhtov.

Norwegian heavyweight giant Arild “the Hulk” Haugen needed just 45 seconds to knockout Latvian Pavels Dolgovs Saturday night in Sedavi, Spain. Haugen have a background as a bodybuilder and strongman and this was his first boxing match ever. With his enormous physique he certainly looks the part but is very green and questions on stamina and chin have yet to be answered.

OPI 2000 have set Gianluca Branco vs Yuri Nuzhenko for the vacant European welter title for February 19 with site to be announced.

Flyweights Silvio Olteanu and Alain Bonnel clash for the vacant European Union title December 19 in Madrid. The show is promoted by Rimer Boxe.
