Hatton Boxing: “The Hitman” Vows To Return To The Ring

After much deliberation Ricky Hatton has confirmed he will return to the boxing Ring in 2010.

His last Fight was in May 2009 against Manny Pacquiao and since then he has taken time out to consider his options. Ricky told Hatton TV that the decision has not been reached lightly.

“It will probably be around summertime but there is no date or opponent confirmed just yet,” said Ricky. “I’ve had some good time to reflect and put that last fight behind me. I think after the Mayweather defeat I jumped back into action straight away and I didn’t really perform as I would have wanted to.

Ricky also spoke about those who have expressed concerns about him returning to the ring:

“I’ve sat down and listened to the concerns of my close family and friends, and to my fans. I think I still have a lot to offer boxing, and after thinking long and hard over many soul searching months, I made the decision to return to the Ring. Then there will be no niggling doubts in my mind when I do decide to hang up my gloves and retire”

When he returns in mid-February after a holiday to Australia he hopes to have more details of an Opponent and venue
