8 Count Boxing: Donovan George Ready To Roll Jan 29 In Chicago

ByBoxing Press 20/01/2010

“Eleven in a row and Williams’ will be the twelfth” said the supremely confidant Donovan George in between rounds of a furious sparring session at the Veterans Park Boxing Gym in Franklin Park. “Naugler had never been stopped and he was out in the fourth.”

“I feel fantastic and can’t wait to fight. I love fighting at home and the UIC Pavilion is the perfect place in Chicago to fight” said the undefeated super middleweight under the watchful eye of his father, head trainer Pete George.

The 25 year old George, 18-0-1 (16KO’s), known for his crunching power and celebratory back flips will be returning to Chicago’s UIC Pavilion at “Windy City Fight Night 8” on Friday, January 29th in the main event against Minnesota’s Phil Williams, 11-2-0 (10KO’s).

In his last outing, the Chicago native George brutally stopped Canada ’s Jason Naugler on November 6th in front of a huge crowd of enthusiastic local sports fans.

The action packed ten bout show is presented by Chicago ’s 8 Count Productions in association with Warriors Boxing and Bullit KnockOut Promotions.

“We believe Donovan is the future of the 168 lb division which is the hottest division in boxing, and the people of Chicago need to come out and support their next superstar.” Leon Margules, President of Warriors Boxing.

Said Dominic Pesoli, President of Chicago’s 8 Count Productions, “Donovan is just what Chicago sports fans want. Action from the opening bell. Since we announced the fight we’ve had a great response from fans and media alike who are excited about his return to the UIC Pavilion.”

Said Mike Michael, Exclusive adviser to Cestus Management, the managers of Donovan George, “We are all very excited that our fighter is back in the ring and the fans will witness the unstoppable bone crunching power and skills of Donovan George”.

Michael added, “Donovan is willing to fight any Super Middleweight in the world; Donovan will annihilate Phil Williams and after yet another destruction of an opponent, our fighter will be one more step closer to challenging for the Super Middleweight Championship of the world”.
