Boxing Update: Tommy Morrison Continues Latest Comeback

Former heavyweight world champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison has continued to train in Wichita, Kansas for his upcoming celebrity fundraising fight in Mexico.

Morrison, who retired from boxing in 1996 after reportedly testing positive for HIV, returned to the sport in February, 2007, winning his comeback bout and a follow-up fight a year later by TKO.

The medical diagnosis that caused Morrison to initially retire is now being questioned, given the fighter’s reported good health and his allegedly testing negative for the disease on January 10 of this year.

The conventional wisdom of the medical theories behind HIV and AIDS has been challenged by the films “House Of Numbers” and the website www.rethinkingaids.com as well as recent high profile false positive AIDS tests of celebrities.
