Yuri Foreman, on his ShoBox debut, won an eight round unanimous decision over formerly undefeated Kevin Cagle. Foreman, who had been absent from the world scene for over a year, looked very impressive, and showed great potential, as he out-boxed the game, but outclassed Kevin Cagle. Yuri opened the contest with a very brisk pace, using solid combinations to befuddle Kevin early. As the rounds wore on, Foreman used the ring, and his speed to completely out-box Cagle over eight exciting rounds. Yuri showed his complete offensive arsenal with solid bodywork, crisp left hooks, a consistent jab, and a quick, solid right hand. Foreman, under the tutelage of Joe Grier, showed excellent defense, and beautiful ring generalship. Kevin, although very determined, seemed amateurish at times. All three cards were scored as a shutout (80 to 72). It was a solid win for the undefeated Foreman as he looks for bigger fights at 154-pounds.
