Dinnington based middleweight Peter Fedorenko is heading south today to join the rest of the Prizefighter line up for the filming of the promo at Sky TV studios.
“I still cant quite believe it to be honest,” said Fedorenko. “I got the call that I was being given this chance and couldnt turn it down. This is the first time I have done a television show or interview and it is Prizefighter.
“This show gives undercard lads a chance to top the bill, it is a level field as far as I can see but there are one or two that could really do well out of this.”
Asked if he thought he could be one of those fighters that does well in the tournament, Fedorenko’s reply was as understated as the affable man himself.
“I am a middleweight moving up for the first time on a big show that is on TV, we will have to wait and see what happens but I cannot have trained any harder or feel fitter and stronger so I think I am in with as good of a chance of winning this as anyone.”
Fedorenko, sponsored by Boxfit UK, is excited and looking forward to putting a show on. Although it has been harder to sell tickets given the Wednesday slot, Fedorenko is taking support with him from Sheffield and Dinnington and the fans have vowed that they will make themselves heard.
Prizefighter Super Middleweights takes place 30th June at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London. Tickets are 35.00 unreserved and 60.00 Ringside.
