Hennessy Boxing: Purdy Added To O’Donnell vs. Cauthen Fight Card

Lee “Lights Out” Purdy returns to the ring on theundercard of the exciting “Night of International Boxing” atYork Hall, Bethnal Green on Friday 10th September.

Thiswill be Lee’s first time back in the ring since his gripping 12 round unanimouspoint’s decision loss for the Commonwealth title against Denton Vassellin April.

The co – feature fightsinvolving two of the UK and Ireland’s finest boxers, JohnO’Donnell who is taking on Olympic Bronze Medalist American TerrenceCauthen over 12 rounds and Tyson Fury who will be fighting over 8rounds, both bouts will be televised in America on Showtime at 11p.m.ET/PT (same day delay).

The event will also be shown in Canada on the SuperChannel Network and the UK Broadcaster will be announced soon.

TheColchester based welterweight is currently the Southern Area Champion butbelieves after his heroic performance back in April more title challenges areon the horizon.

Purdysaid. “I’m back in the swing of things after the disappointment oflosing in April. Training has gone well, I’ve had some great sparring andnow I just can’t wait to get back in the ring. We are keeping busy withthis fight and hopefully by the end of the year I will be in a position tochallenge for either a Commonwealth or British title.”

Alongwith Lee Purdy, Prizefighter semi-finalist Daniel Cadman from WalthamAbbey will be out looking for the win on his quest to fight for titles, Phill“Intense” Fury will be out to record his 6thstraight victory and the highly popular Light Welterweight Chris “theflash” Evangelou from Enfield will entertain the packed crowd and look to extend hisunbeaten record on the undercard of the exciting “Night of InternationalBoxing” at York Hall

DebutantsJohn “Gorilla” Ryder (Middleweight) of Islington and TylerGoodjohn willboth be making the crossover to the paid ranks for the first time.
