Hitz Boxing will be hosting a very special night of boxing on Saturday, October 2 at The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino, just 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. Crowd-pleasing Irish middleweight prospect Andy Lee will be the featured fighter of the evening.
After a successful amateur career including an appearance at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Lee (22-1, 16 KOs) turned professional and moved his home base to Detroit, Michigan, where he went on a 15-fight winning streak before suffering his lone setback. Since then, the powerful southpaw has won another seven fights impressively.
“I’ve enjoyed a long-term relationship with his management team dating back to the early 90s and his trainer Emanuel Steward from even further back, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be featuring Andy Lee. Chicago loves this kid”, said Hitz Boxing Founder, Bobby Hitz. “He can’t be in a bad fight and his fans from this area will fill the place.”
Doors open at 7pm and the fight will begin at 8pm.
“Fight Night at Horseshoe” tickets are on sale now, starting at a fan appreciation price of $10, and are available at The Venue box office, 219-473-6060, ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.
