Shaw, Margules Are Impressed With Their Boxing Prospects

ByBoxing Press 21/12/2010

Gary Shaw of Gary Shaw Productions and Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing wish to congratulate the members of their “Power Surge” trio of young sluggers.

In the past three weeks all three fighters, “Next Puerto Rican Superstar” Jonathan “Mantequilla” Gonzalez, former world amateur champion Vilier Quinones and former Puerto Rican National Boxing Team member Jorge Maysonet have all won their fights by impressive knockout.

On Friday, December 3 at Magic City Casino in Miami, Quinones made his pro debut by destroying Abdellah Smith in 19 seconds. Then on Friday, December 10, at Coliseo Samuel Rodriguez in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, Gonzalez brought his record to a perfect 11-0, 11 KOs by stopping Gundrick King (13-4, 9 KOs) in two rounds.

And finally, on Saturday, December 18 at Coliseo Jose Huyke in Morovis, Puerto Rico, Maysonet made his debut by knocking out Samuel Hernandez, also in 19 seconds.

“December 2010 was the first of many very good months for our young trio,” said Shaw. His co-promotional partner Margules was equally optimistic: “This is just the beginning. These three will be dropping more guys than the Kardashian sisters next year.”
