Eye Boxing: Belasco Headlines Harrahs Chester Fight Card March 18

On Friday night March 18th boxing returns to the Harrahs Casino in Chester, Pennsylvania that will feature some of the Delaware Valley’s top prospects on a card promoted by Joey Eye Boxing along with David Feldman.

“We had a great opening show here at Harrahs”, said promoter Joey Eye. “We had a few little rough edges that we smoothed out and we believe that we will have some great, fan friendly shows going forward”

In the featured eight round Jr. Welterweight bout will popular “Rockin” Ryan Belasco .

Belasco of Wilmington, Delaware has a record of 14-4-3 with three knockouts and not only takes on anyone but is usually in the most entertaining fight of the night.

Belasco has taken on quality opposition such as Elad Shmuoel (15-1); Brian Miller (1-0-1); Victor Vasquez (7-1); Andrew Farmer (12-1). His most impressive win was the fifth round stoppage over Vasquez.

Belasco is riding a three fight winning streak which includes his most recent outing when he scored a six round unanimous decision over Gustavo Dailey on December 3rd in Dover, Delaware.

Belasco’s opponent will be named shortly.

There will be two six round co-features. In the first co-feature will be Jr. Lightweight Anthony Flores. Flores of Philadelphia has a record of 9-2-1 with six knockouts.

Flores won his first eight bouts with five coming by knockout with included wins over undefeated Ikem Orji and twenty-two fight veteran Carlos Diaz before suffering his first pro defeat to undefeated Victor Valenzuela.

In his last three bouts, Flores has gone 1-1-1 with a draw with world ranked Carlos Vinan, a stoppage over Gustavo Daily and in his last bout, Flores dropped a eight round unanimous decision to undefeated and world ranked Arash Usmanee on October 8th in Philadelphia.

In the second six round co-feature, undefeated Heavyweight Joey Dawejko will take on an opponent to be named. Dawejko of Philadelphia has a record of 4-0 with one coming by knockout.

The former world amateur champion is coming off a four round unanimous decision on January 22nd at Harrahs in Chester over Taffo Asongwed.

Fighters pitted to see action in four round bouts will be lightweight Angel Ocasio (3-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia, PA; cruiserweight Taneal Goyco (3-1, 1 KO) of Philadelphia, PA; heavyweight Jamie Campbell (3-1, 2 KO’s) of Ridley Park, PA; lightweight Lonnie Jackson Jr. (1-0) of Philadelphia.

Those fighters will all face opponents to be named.

Two other four round bouts will feature ladies lightweight Elizabeth Sherman (2-0, 1 KO) of South Philadelphia taking on Jennifer Wood (1-1, 1 KO) of Richmond, VA.

Jr. Middleweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna (1-0, 1 KO) of Milville, NJ taking on debuting Heath Kline.
