Wow! That is all I can say about “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather. Floyd’s performance was superb as he totally dismantled and outclassed, as well as humiliated Arturo “Thunder” Gatti. Actually, Floyd Mayweather humiliated everybody that predicted him getting knocked out by Arturo Gatti, including myself as I stated that Gatti was going to knock out Mayweather by the fifth round. Well as you all know by now, “Pretty Boy” Floyd was the one doing all the knocking out, but instead of the fifth, it was a sixth round technical knockout as Arturo had no more “Thunder” left to give. Floyd Mayweather did exactly what he said he was going to do to Gatti; basically, he destroyed one of my favorite all-time fighters.
I may not have cared much for “Pretty Boy” Floyd in the past because of his arrogance, but in last night’s super-fight or should I say one-sided fight, he made a big fan out of me and to admit with all honesty, I fell in love with Mayweather’s skills and will to go toe-to-toe with one of the sport’s most feared punchers, Arturo Gatti. Everything Floyd Mayweather did inside the ring on that night was flawless and deserves all the recognition he demands as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
There is nothing anyone can say about Floyd’s skills and intentions he brings to the ring because he does nothing but back up what he says over and over again. As for Arturo “Thunder” Gatti, he will always be a champion in my book and am sure he will be back with a vengeance! Congratulations to “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather Jr. as he is the new king of the 140-pound division. Hail King Floyd!
