Otas Gets WBF Title Shot Against Makabu In South Africa

The Brazilian professional boxer Pedro “The Trojan” Otas will fight for the WBF Cruiserweight Title on November 19.

The event will take place at Monte Casino in Johannesburg, South Africa and will be promoted by Damian Michael from Showpony Promotions in partnership with World Boxing Federation.

His opponent will be Ilunga “Junior” Makabu, born in Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in South Africa. Makabu has a 9-1 record, with 9 knockouts.

Otas is a former WBO Latino and Brazilian Cruiserweight champion from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has an impressive 23-1 record and still undefeated in the Cruiserweight division with 10 wins and 8 Knockouts.

This night of boxing will feature four other WBF titles, including the big clash between the former WBF heavyweight Champion Francois “White Buffalo” Botha (48-5-3) against Michael “Big” Grant (47-4).
