Puengluang Wins Interim WBO Asia Pacific Title In Thailand
Pariyakorn Ratanasuban of M150 OneSongchai Boxing Promotions presented a night of fights at Bangtao Stadium in Cherngtale Municipality, Talang District, Phuket Province, Thailand last evening.
The main event was Puengluang Sor Singyu’s challenge for vacant Interim WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight title against Nathan Bolcio, a Philippine boxer who is WBO Youth Intercontinental Champion.
Puengluang opened the bout with a strong forward attacking style as Bolcio went defensive in the first round. In the second, Puengluang dropped Bolcio with a right hook to the body.
Puengluang got the opportunity to land combination punches to Bolcio again, making the Filipino drop himself to the floor. The referee waved the fight off at 2.34 of the second round.
After the fight, “NongOh†Female Promoter disclosed that Puengluang is now ranked number one in the WBO’s Bantamweight ratings, and with WBO Champion Nonito Donaire soon vacating the title to move up to the next division, Puengluang will challenge for the vacant WBO title in February 2012 with an appropriate opponent.
Now she plans to negotiate in order to pull this fight to Thailand, and is talking to sponsors at the moment.
Other fights saw Kwanpichit SibsamrienExpress win by points against Teva Sitkruma, OneChana Sitniwat won by points against Kengsaklek Sakchaichote and female boxer Buangen Kietsombat won by points over Sangpet Sor Sajjaboon.
