Hatton Promotions Near To Sell Out In Sheffield

Hatton Promotions big night of championship boxing in Sheffield on Saturday March 24, is already close to having the ‘Sold Out’ signs put up.

The bill at Ponds Forge Arena is topped by Cardiff’s Gary Buckland who makes the first defence of his British super-featherweight title against Middlesbrough’s Paul Truscott.

Hatton Promotions Director of Boxing Richard Poxon is putting together a top class undercard which will include the Steel City’s unbeaten trio – Adam Etches, Scott Jenkins and Richard Towers.

Ricky Hatton, the head of Hatton Promotions is also in talks to stage a second big title show on one of the best cards in Yorkshire for years.

‘The Hitman’ said: “If anybody is serious about going – I would advise them to get their tickets in the next couple of weeks. Sheffield fans haven’t forgotten Gary Buckland’s epic battle with Gary Sykes last year and know they will see a thriller. This is a real bumper show and there is no doubt it will sell-out like the last time we promoted there.”

Etches and Jenkins are two of the biggest ticket sellers in boxing and Poxon added: “In September at Ponds Forge we were having to turn away people who know Adam and Scott”.
