8 Count Announces Windy City Fight Night 22 Changes

8 Count Productions has announced that their upcoming Windy City Fight Night 22 event has been moved up one day to Friday, March 16th at the UIC Pavilion.

“We had a minor scheduling issue so we’ve moved the event up one day to Friday, March 16th from the previously announced March 17th date. Windy City Fight Night 22 will be an excellent way for Chicago sports fans to kickoff their St. Patrick Day weekend celebration,” said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

Windy City Fight Night 22 is headlined by the return to the ring of ‘Chicago’s Polish Prince’ Andrzej Fonfara who will be featured in a ten round battle for the USBO Light Heavyweight Title.

With a record of 20-2-1 with eleven stoppages, the World Boxing Organization currently ranks Fonfara #9.

Also announced for Windy City Fight Night 22 is popular Chicago based Mexican warrior Ivan “EL Marro” Popoca, 15-1-1 (10KO’s), who will see action in a six round lightweight clash along with former Ukrainian Olympian and undefeated, heavy handed middleweight prospect Viktor Polyakov, 10-0-0 (6KO’s), in a separate six rounder.

More information on these and other exciting bouts will be announced shortly.

Advance tickets, priced at $31, $51, $76 and $101 are available through Ticketmaster, (www.Ticketmaster.com), the UIC Pavilion Box Office (Phone 312-413-5740) and the 8 Count Productions Office (312-226-5800).

Doors on the night of the event will open at 7pm with the first bell at 8pm. The UIC Pavilion is located at 525 S. Racine, at the corner of Harrison and Racine, just one block south of the Eisenhower Expressway in the West Loop area of Chicago.
