Ali Adams today finishes his four days of sparring with leading German heavyweight Francesco Pianeta. Pianeta ranked 30th in the world was chosen by promoter Steve Goodwin as the ideal sparring partner for Adams being a 6 foot 5 southpaw.
Ali has spent the last four days with trainer Don Charles in Germany and wants to leave nothing to chance for his date with destiny.
“My preparations could not have gone better. I have trained for 11 weeks on a full time basis and have never been fitter, never been stronger and never been more mentally prepared. My sparring with Pianeta could not have gone better.”
Ali added “This fight is Rocky Balboa v Apollo Creed” I am the guy with nothing who has been taken out of nowhere by my promoter to have this opportunity against a multi-millionaire who has everything financially. 26th May 2011 my father died.
“He was my inspiration in life and I have still not got over it. I know he will be in the right with me 12 months to the date he died. When Audley postponed the first fight and the date was moved I know this was meant to be.”
