Kell Brook and Carson Jones clashed on the scales at the official weigh in for their IBF Welterweight title eliminator in Sheffield tomorrow night (July 7).
Their fight tops the bill in the bumper Betfair ‘Edge of Glory’ card at the Motorpoint Arena live on Sky Sports 1HD from 8pm. Sparks flew again when they went head-to-head after they both made the weight, with Brook reiterating his KO promise in front of his home fans.
“Every time we meet I dislike him more and I can’t wait to knock him out tomorrow,” said Brook. “He thinks he’s going to do the same to me so it promises to be an explosive night – and it will end with another win for me.”
Jones took to the scales first and weighed in at 10st 6lb 6oz with the hometown star four ounces heavier than the confident American.
“I feel great and I know I’ve got under his skin so let’s see what he’s got tomorrow,” said Jones. “I’m ranked higher than him for a reason and everyone will see that in the ring.”
